Milton Three Ponds Watershed Management Plan

SRPC is developing a watershed management plan for Milton Three Ponds to identify and manage environmental stressors impacting water quality of the ponds. The management plan will identify quantifiable goals for watershed protection and water quality improvement along with strategies to implement them. A watershed management plan will promote cost-effective implementation of best management practices in two ways: first, by quantifying pollutant-load reductions and, second, by identifying actions to attain water quality standards. This project relies not only on quantitative data analysis, but also on collaboration with community leaders to build local capabilities to sustain the implementation of nonpoint‑source‑pollution controls identified in the final management plan.
